Sonnet 1

A sonnet that shows how I see things after I met someone.

Another day decays to twilight.

Sun setting, shadows growing.

They start to creep  to form the night,

Yet we just lie there, unknowing.

Eyes closed, you can see the glow

dripping from every sinew.

Golden husks were once so mellow,

now teaming with the memory of you;

Of your bones wrapped around me,

Of our souls, combined.

Your smile, the only thing I see,

And it’s enough to make me blind.

Eyes open. An eclipse of the fallen hours.

Promise me now, this will always be ours.

The End
