Something About September

©1995 Nick Robinson (FTH Ch 5, pg 53)

The leaves are changing color

The air is getting cold

Yeah, it must be September

And again, I have no one to hold

Now there’s something about September

It’s happened to me before

Just when I needed someone’s warmth

They turn and walk out the door

Left out in the cold again

No one here to keep me warm

No one here to share the winter nights

All alone to weather the storm

So once again I’ll go back inside

And prepare for the days to come

It’s up to me to make it alone again

It’s up to me, again, the lonely one

The End
