Gum on the Wall

I slipped.

My toe was crossing

that delicate line

between wholesome

and trouble bound --

the ultimate weakness.

But somebody was there to catch me;

I turned just in time.

He doesn't know

that really

he's my knight in shining armor,

for saving me from myself.

And now life is different,

I still taste the remains

of being a helpless addict,

but I can turn away now --

now I am free

The End
