So Many Doors Open

Just a drabble-ey piece of poetry. Written about my dear friend, my life-saver. Absolutely no form or format of any sort - just a rambling poem. Mostly written 6+ months ago, since I haven't been writing poetry lately.

so many doors open

when you say my name

and it helps that you

don’t tell me how you feel

because I’m afraid

of lost hopes and broken windows

pains that never go away

like the sun chases away the moon

you hide away my scars

now the only thing is

making sure they stay

the very thought of losing you

turns daisies into grey

a dog won’t survive for long

when love gives it away

even the tallest wave

against the mighty shore

The End
