Snowfall

It's finally coming down

I felt it on the wind
Cold, and somehow sweet
The coming of change
Stinging on my cheek

It's finally coming down

Never easy to adjust
Refreshing, shocking
Flurries whirling
Laughing, mocking

It's finally coming down

Weighing me down
Trees nearby relate
Limbs bending deep
under a clean slate

It's finally coming down

So many connotations
For the endless bright
Flakes shedding from
An uncaring dim sky

It's finally coming down,
My world lost in white.

The End
