Sleeping in my Burial Gown

Spread out the lilies on my open grave
come lie with me, we can watch the end of the world together
Soaked in the glow of candlelight
Your eyes are the abyss that swallows me whole

The day I was buried
beneath my suffering
You kissed me so
I was awakened
in my decayed heart

You were sleeping in my burial gown
your body would thrive with mutilation
reach down to me with your unholy embrace
as your halo of thorns pushes deeper into my throat

The day I was buried
beneath my suffering
You kissed me so
I was awakened
in my decayed heart

The day I was unearthed
we promised one day
Our marriage in suicide
we’d hang our selves
holding hands
in our decayed heart

Your name was etched into my grave stone
like a memory I tried to avoid but I was
inexplicably drawn to under your power

Is this the Love I have been searching for?
Ripping into my last shred of decency
I am vulnerable for your death
for our death
Our last days together

The End
