Sleeping Beauty
She left the roses
trampled in the snow
in her wake,
as the glaciers coalesce
There’s no Jesus Christ
to heal her now
I’m cold without her
frost marks her kisses
I forsake
with my lost thousand years
There’s no drug within the ice
to save her now
Will you miss the sleeping beauty?
Will he kiss the sleeping beauty?
Will we reminisce
of the days she was meant to be,
Ohhh...
Sleeping Beauty
I’m too tired to stay awake
I want to drift away with you
I left the door ajar
still finding myself within
her last words
As the gloom descends
There’s no lover I’d requite
to shelter me now
She shrinks into the blizzard
with the ghost of dread
I tried...
with the persistence
of a Goddess
to grasp my faith
Will you miss the sleeping beauty?
Will he kiss the sleeping beauty?
Will we reminisce
of the days she was meant to be,
Ohhh...
Sleeping Beauty
I’m too tired to stay awake
I want to drift away with you
