CallusMature

a personal accolade

for personal growth

so simple and laconic

to bring a smile forth

retention of the prize

of hard, arduous work

while others deemed it portent

to totter with a quirk

a success found in broaching

what others did not try

was gained through pushing

through the hiatus in their eyes

and now the hands

they show madness

they show independence

they show egress

of calloused personality

of which they couldn't understand

The End
