Our Answers

There's nothing to this world

but an endless litany of apologies,

for we were born flawed,

but must we remain so?

Is there nothing in this wide,

unexplored universe to give us the answers

and salvation we seek,

cry for?

And if indeed we had our anwers

to what is out there -

a proven existance of a deity or not? -

would we be strong enough to swallow our pride

and admit,

"We were wrong." ?

I wrote this randomly after some guy bumped into me, muttered "Sorry" and I started thinking about how many times a day people say that word and the reasons we say it so much (when it's said legitimately). And then that lead me on a whole broader spectrem of thought involving humanity's imperfect nature.

The End
