Six Days of Waiting

On Sunday I can still taste the foods
Prepared specially for your honor
On Monday, the feel of the tablecloth
Smooth and silky, still on my fingers
On Tuesday I begin to long
For the songs of the Shabbat
The tunes from last week
Fading from my memory
By Wednesday I start to smell
The familiar Aromas from the oven
By Thursday, the sight of a busy kitchen
Already preparing for your great return
It’s Friday and the joy and tranquility of your day
Already felt in the air
As we beckon your arrival

The End
