Silver Sand

Somehow I feel that my life has peaked too soon
My heart was built on the silver sands of time
Fading slowly with each stroke of the ocean waves
With each passing glimmer of the rouge twilight
I can see your eyes filled with the holy indigo light
Somehow, I feel I have lost you

Ruby stardust on the altar where we became one
Butterflies of gold flutter over into the horizon
You slumbered with each breath of the sea
listlessly swaying into a cold morning
Blessing me, I was almost astray in the silk paths
where we knew we had forgotten ourselves

We still had each other
even in the hazy dreams
where we remembered
we still loved each other

The End
