I wander away from civilisation,
and head out to the lake
Where i can sit in the realisation
of my lonely state.
Undisturbed in my pensive revery
of the way things used to be.

Silence, as golden as the light
dancing coldly on the lake,
Welcomes me with open delight.
And i slip away into sweet solace,
Never again to resurface.

The End
