Shattered Dreams

The deep forests of the unknown
are woven with the souls
that were cast away by an unforgiving sanctuary
God has blessed you with fear
and damned you with life
Eternity strives between each passing day
No snowflake can permeate such cold flesh

Gathered under a fortress of silence
betrayed only by living breath
All the devils snare with macabre venom
several blood drops upon a cross
from the angels that have died in vain
Cursed to decay, only solace is death
and death is sadly not forthcoming

Whisper the names of those without existence
their paradise sought by the condemned
a merciful release to the other side
from a realm of shattered dreams

The End
