Shadows
Eyes are open wide for the first time
The world is broken but now I know my enemy
The innocence of things stripped of pleasantries
The world's stripping away what's left of my sanity
I clawed at the hope, but all I did was shed more blood
But one day I'll ascend to the stratosphere
Despair riddles and instantly doubt embraces you
Whispers from lips invisible, the shadows grow longer
Judgement harsher than the truth begins to engulf you
Wolves scratching at the door, louder now, stronger
I now know I can do the best I can
My voice left hoarse and I'm hopeless in the void
My arms heavy, weak, soon everything will come clear
Before everything I love is destroyed
I clawed at the hope, but all I did was shed more blood
But I'll fly beyond the earth, somewhere better than here
Despair riddles and instantly doubt embraces you
Whispers from lips invisible, the shadows grow longer
Judgement harsher than the truth begins to engulf you
Wolves scratching at the door, louder now, stronger
