Gone - a poemMature

Leave, before I hold you back

The tears rip down my flesh

Scars never healing on my cheeks

From each touch of your kisses

I long to be with you forever

But we have to be apart

To grow, to become better

But the longterm hurts so much

Go. You know you must.

It's better this way.

We'll always be together

In our hearts

Don't worry, my precious

Our lives have only just begun

And as the waves build up

We'll sail upon the apex of the tsunami

As it washes our past pain away

To happier days

The End
