See You In Heaven
Can't tell if this is Hell
because my right of death
has been taken from me
Suppose it's for the best
I mean what would I do?
I'd go on living all the same
Acceptance is my rose
I sheltered from the bitter cold
All the anger and doubt
I patterned my life by
led me back to where I began
It's been wonderful, it really has
but I have to leave soon
I've overstayed my welcome
so I'll see you in Heaven
Empathy was my thorn
I held close in my hands
Every dark thought I endeared
came in a fusillade and was
suddenly washed away in the April sun
It's been wonderful, it really has
but I have to leave soon
I've decided to move on
so I'll see you in Heaven
Silently crying in the back of my mind
I reached out to you
but you was never there for me
I was always searching for another
to lie beside each and every golden dusk
I realised I preferred the illusion
It's been wonderful
the greatest time of my life
but it must come to an end
I need to see the sun
one last time
I'm terrible at goodbyes
so I'll leave you now
and I hope
I promise
I'll see you in Heaven
