Seasons Alike
There will only be four. We'll start with my favorite...
Winter whispers
Icy words drifting on chilled winds.
Double socks, heavy boots
Crunch of ice
underfoot.
Walk one way, and one way only
Create a set of footprints frozen.
Hot coco with marshmallows
Crisp laughter with an older sister.
Snow days, sleep in late
Gray skies, overcast
Cold stars burning bright
Or hazy purple due to clouds.
And in the morning
Snowflakes erase all traces
of yesterday.
Until, at last, it fades all together.
