With everyone changing
I hope you stay the same
Through the shadows of my eyes
I can see you're my shining light
You took me somewhere
I thought was lost forever
I may be cynical to you
but I'm just afraid to tell you
I'm just scared of becoming vulnerable
I'm just scared that I'm unacceptable
I'm scared you'll never talk to me again
I'm scared losing you

I watch the falling rain
Hoping that you'll call me soon
I've outgrown my miserable phase
I'm not that guy anymore
You brought me down to earth
and introduced me to hope
I may be sarcastic to you
but I'm just afraid to tell you
