Scarecrow, Shut Your Eyes

Scarecrow, shut your eyes, you've seen too much;

You've seen this all play out before.

Shut your eyes and sigh and just dream for a while -

You don't have to stand still anymore.

The stillest of waters run far too deep,

The uneasy calm foretells of a storm.

Flee from your post, the rain and the hail

And this world, so pale and lukewarm.

Shut your eyes and run from this lonely day

Because you can.

Not many can run away.

The End
