Sara

Recommend

Sara sits in the cafe alone.

Nobody there.

Just her.

Nobody can help her

She's just there.

She has crossed the line.

She is on the other side.

There's nobody there but her.

A man in a suit appears.

Her conscience.

Sara says nothing and

Goes home.

The man is there again.

He hands her a

Knife. With the

words

"There is no choice".

Sara returns to

her living room.

Sara is gone now.

Her lifeless body

Lies on the

Floor.

Sara has gashes on her wrists.

And it was all

His

Fault.

Author guidance for This poem

TheActor I wrote this after seeing the Edward Hopper painting: 'Automat'. Have a google, it's a very nice painting, as is 99% of Hopper's work :)

Comment please :D
