Sail Past The Point Of Heaven

It's an old fashioned ode to a lover

Chance encounters through electrical channels

Suddenly we agree to meet for a hopeful reunion

And I can feel the benevolent gaze from above

And soon I will fall into a higher love

Mesmerised by otherworldly beauty

We're afflicted with mutual adoration

She's more than karma should give to me

Maybe she can bear the burden of my salvation

She has seen me through the gloom

One day she will know me at my best

I love her to the point of addiction

She sails with me above the heavens

Oh how I know now how much I've been blessed

The empty space beside me carries echoes of laughter

The shade of her flesh I clutch in vain for something more

I go willingly to be trapped by her

For the first time, I know that I am truly adored

Her insecurities could drive her to ruin or glory

In the whirlwind to drive lovingly onward

I can see smiles and tears of joy from above

I'm melting with her as we fall into a higher love

Captivated by her in this pale light

Another kiss another hot rush to burn with passion

I will bring her closer to me under the stars

The heavens in envy will come falling, come crashing

She has felt my muscles weaken and tremble

I will worship her beyond words

Two hearts as one to establish the temple

She is more than I possibly deserve

The empty space beside me carries echoes of laughter

The shade of her flesh I clutch in vain for something more

I go willingly to be trapped by her

For the first time, I know that I am truly adored

The End
