Roses & Wine
Lost my temper as I lost my soul
Sweetheart, the kindness you show
is merely just an illusion
I'm closing myself off from the past
but you haunt me with tender whispers
It's a testament to the beauty I saw within your eyes
There's a sense of hopelessness
in every silver lining
isn't that such a shame?
I could never understand
why you never wanted to be beside me
Must be that bad luck again
You're right as rain and just as desolate
but I still wish for the monsoon
even if it leaves me with bitter memories
I know you could never treasure
the roses and wine I could give
It's a testament to how foolish I can be
