Haikus for a Rainy Day

1.
The burn gives me peace.
Down my throat, swirling in me.
You're spun out of mind.

2.
How is my kin flesh
So distant, unrelated?
You are strangers now.

3.
Relieve me with cold,
Hard metal on my pale skin.
Let me taste the blast.

4.
I am split in half
Between a strong good, and hurt;
Brought on by my past.

5.
I am no one's first.
I am no one's number one.
I am no one's star.

6.
The universe laughs
At our attempts to convey
Our understanding.

7.
There is no good God.
There is no conniving force.
Just us; just our minds.

8.
I feel good, asleep.
Can I skip these shallow months?
And wake up later?

The End
