Playing to Win

Frozen names and times may serve us well;
Also, they may kill.
Secret lives lived and lied, but who will ever tell?
Frozen hearts, they will.

The darkness spreads by word of mouth;
Fear will paralyze.
Words of pride pour from your mouth;
love will steal your eyes.

You don't regret if you do not feel;
Only if there's pain.
It's hard to tell if love is real;
Play to win the game.

I do not need more careless weight
Put upon my heart.
All that I must to do is wait;
And you must play your part.

The End
