Aquamarine

If I was anything except myself

I would be a little hard to find.

If I was everything between the clouds

I could talk to you with just my mind.

If you could be the stars and I, the night

I would wrap you in a long embrace.

If you could be the grass and I, the Sun

I would shine on you with loving grace

I try so very hard not to think about it

But all the world insists I do

I try to think about Miami beaches

But all my thoughts are drawn to you

If I was all the water in the ocean

And you were all the sand beneath me

I would tickle you on every seashore

And kiss you with the tide

If I was anything except myself

You would be a little hard to find

If I saw you walking through an airport

Would I pass you by?

The End
