The Weary Traveler

So empty and plain
Has become this soul
All truth evaporated
The world's lies taking their toll

I must travel across abandonment
At the end I hope to find life
The desert stretches long and wide
Can I live through such tiresome strife?

For the weary traveler
There's no water to be found
If I were to fail now
No one would ever hear the sound
For the weary traveler
There's not an end in sight
And the road I hope is here
Could lead me to death, it might

Oh for the weary traveler,
There's no water to be found

Illusions and mirages
They are my only salvation
While fake and over-extended
They keep my soul from starvation

Sometimes I lose my reason
Trudging on day after day
I wonder what's on the other side
Is it worth being so far away?

For the weary traveler
There's no water to be found
If I were to fail you now
No one would ever hear the sound
For the weary traveler
There's not an end in sight
And the road I hope is here
Could lead me to death, it might

Oh for the weary traveler,
There's no water to be found

Engulf me whole
The sands of time
God only knows
If you're still mine

Engulf me whole
The Sands of time
God only knows
If you're still mine

If you're still mine

Oh for the weary traveler
There's no water to be found

The End
