Wasteland of Ice

Ice burgs, rivers, mountains and snow
All the emptiness I have to show
No one in sight, not a soul around
I could freeze to death without a sound

It's hard to believe that there's any heat
Sitting in this cold, hard, icy seat
The sun shines down with golden glory
But its warmth overlooks this sullen story

I watch every day and listen each night
In hope someone comes to allay my plight
I need a savior, Lord can't you tell?
This ice is no better than the fires of hell

I've seen some visitors come and go
Some lend me hand, some watch the snow
I'll keep trekking on day after day
Until somehow the ice melts away

The End
