Remembrance

laying in the sand is our character, he is dying and before death he remembers the person he loves the most.

I remember the sakura petals that flew through the air that day.
His smile had been brighter than the sun, but that was then.
Now I’m the man he hates the most.
I’ve done everything in my power to regain his trust, but all my attempts have failed.
I remember how those beautiful eyes had once stared into mine.
Those eyes reminded me always of sweet honey.
Now I lay dying in the sand with my kill standing over me.
Even though I still hold him in my memory I still wish he could be the last thing I see.
