Remember Me

Remember me
When your sunset has turned
To a charade of death black and grave gray.
Remember me
When your lake of tears has dried
Into a lifeless desert
And you heart bleeds
With the inflictions
Of pain's poisonous sword.
Remember me
When time bustles on
And life refuses
To leave you behind,
While I'm stuck in soil.
Remember me
While your children laugh,
When your lover cries,
When your family and friends
Celebrate the progression
Of an ongoing journey.
Remember me
While you choke
With death's flu,
For I will be there,
Waiting,
Watching,
Laughing,
For I will no longer be the one left behind.

The End
