with Real Reasons

The real men left when the feminists came,
too good to have their doors opened for them.

“We’re equal!” they’d say,
and make their own way,
leaving no one feeling chivalrous.

The real men left when they were deemed unfit,
needing to be slim and toned and buff.

They’ve replaced our rare steaks
with protein shakes,
and those hardly put hair on the chest.

The real men left and there’s no changing that,
they've followed the real women out.

No more bidding adieu,
or roses for you,
they’ve gone without paying the cheque.

The End
