Poetry took it all

Look at me in the corner;

I am such a sight.

The other me is in your palm,

hidden from the inner enemy.

That's me by the window;

peering at diamond night stars.

The other me lingers in your soul,

hidden from the enemy.

That's me at the edge;

calculating the debt of death.

The other me is within your heart

hidden from the enemy.

That's me at  a bier;

no longer among the living.

The other me remains in your heart,

i have defeated the enemy.

So let him save your soul,

embrace this other me.

For poetry took my breath

though I swear i'll live on in my script.

The End
