Raindrops

Stealthily dark clouds embrace the sky,

Flashes of lightning liven up the dull night.

Thunder strikes,the clouds roar,

As heat and suffering away from man soar.

First shower of raindrops on the ground lay,

Sweet scent of wet mud, the wind carries away.

The trees and bushes sway in a trance,

Welcoming the monsoon with "Nature's dance."

The sleigh of raindrops bathes the dusty streets clean,

The city revelling in its new found Sheen!

Youth and old alike, all their work hither lain,

Break free from their cocoons to dance in the rain

The End
