Trees chatter as I pass by,
Babies and children tend to cry.
Dogs and cats get unnerved and scared,
No one is ever prepared.

I wonder through deserted yards,
Looking for a place to hide,
One here, another there,
And many others besides.

But I need one to satisfy,
All my needs, I'll gratify,
Anyone that finds a hole,
Dark and dim, that's my goal.

Because I am a whisper,
Eerie amd grey,
Close your eyes,
Hear us say,

'Psst, my friends, darkness and bright,
We gather together in this half light,
Take to your heels, it's time to fly,
Careful my friends as dawn is nigh.'

The End
