An Introvert's Delimna

Hollow laughter rings

Pretencious smiles alight

Casual banter comenses

And in this room

Seemingly lively, I sit

Quiet, smiling occasionally

Thoughts never ceasing

Topics abound, wit commonplace

But none vocalized

For I realize and revel

In the secret

That in silence

My world resides

The excruciating twist...?

In silence its loneliness I feel

In company, its loneliness I yearn.

The End
