Random Bits and Pieces

Microfiction/poetry?

See if you like it.

Amidst the reuniting couples

we sit

placid.

strangers,

stiff and starched.

we share looks

like they share hugs.

Being obvious when trying to be unobvious, then noticing you are obvious, is the first step.

I can't hear what you say, not because I'm deaf or because it's too loud around us, just because I'm focusing on your lips, not the words.

love is the

burnt crust of an apple pie

and the dirty place behind the ears

and your broken notebook.

The End
