Rain Drops
I've tried to lie in the warmth of the sun
I tried to soar above the clouds, far beyond the blue
I tried to close my eyes and think of you
But the shadows just come closing in too
Beyond the rainbow
Beyond the raindrops
Beyond the night where the starlight stops
I can feel a bliss, a warm embrace
To return the colour, bring light to the shade
To return a smile to my face
Serenity, at least temporarily ...
I've tried intoxication
I've tried to fall in love with others
I've tried to sail away to foreign, volatile shores
Closing my eyes, cast back to heart wrenched lovers
Nothing can deliver me from this pain
It dissipates at night
But in the morning, I endure it again
Maybe my troubles will be cast to the skies
One day I may leave my sorrows behind
Beyond the rainbow
Beyond the raindrops
Beyond the night where the starlight stops
I can feel a bliss, a warm embrace
To return the colour, bring light to the shade
To return a smile to my face
Here comes the day again....
