who are you to throw your words aroundMature

Who are you to throw your words around
like they’re not made of sharp edges and dipped
in your venom?  I did not forget the stingers on your tongue,
darling, or the clever way you touch my face only to
make sure you’re close enough to squeeze my heart dry.
I’ve spent these countless nights bleeding you out
of my veins like the toxin that you became.
Your letters will go as unanswered as your prayers
and I hope the silence keeps you up at night.

The End
