Page 11Mature

  • I lay nearly lifeless,
  • On the ground of coldness.
  • Blood still run through my veins,
  • That's all that remains.

  • I'm merely a shell,
  • Made up of one cell.
  • A shadow of my former self,
  • Left broken in poor health.

  • You hardly said a word,
  • Not that I heard.
  • Now I'm so lost,
  • Life is the cost.

  • My eyes start to blur,
  • Followed by my words that slur.
  • This is the end of the line,
  • Everything will be just fine.
The End
