I let you down,

Broke your body,

Bruised your soul,

I let you down,

Down under the ground,

In the cold,

Why did I do it?

I know I’m better than this.

 

Why, oh why did I do it?

I’m too slow to understand,

I didn’t mean to drag you down to hell,

I’m such a weight on your shoulders,

So please try to understand

Don’t teach me anymore.

 

I let you down,

Kicked and punched and hurt you,

I let you down,

Stabbed your heart with my sword,

What did I do?

I know I’m better than this.

Maybe there is hope under this monster I live in,

It’s dark and scary,

But-

 

I let you down.
