Let Thine Eyes Be Open to DeceitMature

Little bird,

I fear you’re wandered astray.

You hail

From the faraway kingdom of glass.

Your wings

Be torn, the bone’s white showing.

Your eyes

Be clouded with the vision of despair.

I can see

You have flown for years

To reach this haven.

In my heart,

I feel a sympathetic

Connection with you.

Little bird,

As you sit on your perch,

I come

To deliver my hospitality.

Our lives

Seem intertwined by fate’s beckoning.

Though I

Cannot trust you, I will hear your cry.

I can see

You soaring through past,

Desperate for a future.

In my heart,

There is no denial.

I welcome you to my home.

Flying through the night

From the growing flames of hatred.

A silhouette scars the sky,

And the world turns black.

Little bird,

Whose fragile home be shattered,

I give

Whatever I can to heal you.

Your tale

Touched my lonely soul.

Now I

Leave you in my domain.

I should

Have tasted the poison

Dripping from your words.

I feel that

The price to be paid

Will be too great for me.

Stranger,

I let you in my door.

What mystery awaits me?

Stranger,

Who came from afar,

Have you deceived me?

I feel guilt,

And the visions persist.

The shadow has found my home.

I’ve calculated the risk

And my mind is prepared

To brace for what happens next.

The beating

Of your bloodstained wings

Shattered

The faraway kingdom of glass.

Your call

Be that vile sound that pierces the night.

The gaze

Reigns over the land, they shake your hand.

I let you in my door.

A cyanide pill,

The taste so bitter on my sour tongue.

Words fail to climb

The mountain of my throat.

I can only weep.

Flying through the night

From the growing flames of hatred.

A silhouette scars the sky,

And the world turns black.

If I

Lowered the bridge to cross the stream

I can

Raise it so you drown in the cold.

This villain

Entered and betrayed my trust.

I take

It into my own hands to strike.

Intruder,

Unwanted entity.

I beckoned and you stayed

On your perch

Outside my door.

Traitor,

Hate-breeder,

I rip your broken wings

From your fragile body

And toss them away.

Be gone!

And do not set your stare

Into my gaze again.

Take

Whatever you have left

And lay waste in another realm.

Once deceived,

Now holding the light

Among the shadows

That fly at night.

Ignite the sky,

Let the dead birds fall.

Ignite the sky,

Let this tale come to an end.

Ignite the sky,

Let the blackness die.

Ignite the sky,

Let this tale come to an end.

The End
