LiberationMature

In the coming dawn,

And the light with it.

Two figures stand,

Defiant in the storm.

It’s getting dark, and the times are tough alright.

We’ve lost our rights and our freedom,

But not our will to fight.

The rain comes down

And we run through weather

Not a care in our hearts.

Will we not fight

And not take a stand

Against the men with our rights

In their greedy hands.

In the darkest corners,

Light beckons for help.

In the shadows there is hope

And we can find it today.

We cling onto whatever we got

And it’s time for us to go.

Fight to last man, the last breath

Through summer and through winter,

In the night and the sun,

We will prevail!

Return triumphant.

Oh, here it comes.

Here comes liberation.

As the moon rises,

The shadows walk in.

But the sun doesn’t set,

And fights back.

We’re losing ground, looking bad alright.

But to give up now cannot be.

No options left.

Hold my hand and I’ll take yours

And we’ll walk through the flames.

They can shoot what they want,

But our words mean more

Than how they betray and curse.

No need to keep

What just doesn’t work.

Stand with me, I’ll stand too,

And we’ll beat the demons.

Across the oceans and all the land,

Release those enslaved.

We cling onto whatever we got

And it’s time for us to go.

Fight to last man, the last breath

Through summer and through winter,

In the night and the sun,

We will prevail!

Return triumphant.

Oh, here it comes.

Here comes liberation.

In ice and snow,

In fire and water,

In whatever comes,

Well come whatever may.

We’ll face it down with our hearts

Open up and crying for help.

Let hope resonate

Through dark and light

From north to south

And east to west.

Will you stand with me

And break their grip?

We stand on this ground, destroyed alright.

This bloody, broken ground

Where the fighting took place.

Our enemies lie dead

And our numbers hold their hands high

Right up to the sky.

Everybody can see

We conquered the evil.

The shadows have been slain,

And we now have the right to live free.

No matter what, no matter how

We did it and we ended it.

All is different now.

The chains are broken.

Handcuffed no longer,

Held no longer.

This is how life is meant to be.

Upon this ground,

A new power will reign.

We will destroy what destroyed us.

We will be an example.

Do we need this,

Or that,

When it just doesn’t work?

Let freedom govern,

And shout out our cause,

So all can hear,

And all may be…

We cling onto whatever we got

And it’s time for us to go.

Fight to last man, the last breath

Through summer and through winter,

In the night and the sun,

We will prevail!

Return triumphant.

Oh, here it comes.

Here comes liberation.

In the halls of the damned,

And the fields of free,

We will cry joy’s name.

Liberation,

Oh here it comes,

Here comes liberation.

Liberation,

Oh Liberation.

The End
