Six Poems or More

stop                                         here, now, let go                      free your mind

tear resentment out           through the pores of your soul     till you quake

fling it                                      your life                    against a solid tree trunk

as far                                     as last words                           holding still

as far can be                            spoken                           to the crumbling bark

in silence                                 covered over                            the call of hope

remove the                                draped cage the                       chilling echo

cloak of self                             control                            that demands you to

step out                                   of your last wail                be free of

the shoes of slavery                    be no more                              indoors

The End
