Eloosive - Ghost in the Attic

The family in the house below
Carry on like they do not know
That I watch as they come and go
From this dusty cob-webbed window.

They pass off the bumps in the night
As sounds made by mice out of sight;
Though bravely declared in the light,
In darkness they know it’s not right.

I mean them no harm, truth be told.
This is where I wish to grow old;
In summer’s heat and winter’s cold,
With memories of her to hold.

For this home is where my love died,
Though to save her I tried and tried;
The floor still stained by tears I cried,
Ever I remain at her side.

The End
