Fogcat- How are you doing?

I fight the solid wall within my soul

Graham crackers never listen

I could sell your words on ebay

But it wouldn’t make a difference

You ask a ghost a question

Why do we always expect answers?

Follow the sound of your whisper

It leads across the silence into nothing

Your laughing, happy cries

Echo off scattered clouds

Those faces with smiles swirl by

Caught fuzzy in a lonely camera

My face is laughing too

Ice glints from the corners of my smile

I’m all scooped out like a stuffed pepper

Your standards swing broken above me

An empty nest on a bare winter tree

No one sees the twigs tear away

Ask me again how I am

And I will give you a true answer

The End
