My Melting Heart (A snowman heartbreak)

You gave me sight

smell and taste.

You made me

And I knew...

I knew there was no forever

But I forgot for awhile...

You promised to take my snow and put it in the freezer

You'd wait impatiently for winter to come again

I wrapped my stick arms around you

Thinking that it would always be fire and ice

But the season is long

And your eyes wondered

Wondered right into the next season

Your starring at pictures of sandcastles and sea shells

Why did you have to change?

When you know I just can't

I cry and my tears freeze

but oh too soon

I'll melt all away

And I wonder will you even care?

To quickly your promises have come to mean nothing

but I'll always love you

Even when there's nothing left of me

The End
