Matters of the heart-moon

Something is wrong with this old heart
Odd things make it stop and start
A chilling scream can make it stop
A thrilling kiss can make it pop

A scary story can make it creep
An old sad song can make it weep
A loving friend can make it smile
Worry makes  it sore for awhile

Life itself can make it laugh
Loss can break it right in half
Fury can sometimes give it fits
Disease can make it call it quits

Writing can always make it happy
Even when the words are sappy
Now that this poor rhyme is done
This old heart has had some fun

The End
