At peace

Beneath a lake of silver under the most beautiful of skies
Surrounded by a nature so warm and so calm
Where no one has yet discovered to destroy or to harm
Here the breathless body of this ex-poet lies

A lifetime of always wishing someone held his hand
A tortured heart once hammered away in a soundproofed chest
Which beat and beat itself apart, finally laid to rest
Silence now proudly reigns in this peaceful land

The End
