My SwitchMature

Friday night dinner

Laughing hysterically

- I love them so much -

* Change of subject *

My mind flicked like a switch

- Shut down -

* Change of heart *

Silence coming from the usual loud place setting

Arguments with the woman whom I’d once been bound to by a rope of unconditional love

“I want to be alone”

I’m left, alone, broken

Eyes stinging

Thick hot tears cover my cheeks like a waterfall

Enter a doze with red puffy eyes and a wet pillow

The End
