Poems for fun

The building of a spiders' web.

The Spiders Web

First a silken thread is spun,

Onto a branch

This primary one

Drops into a chasm

Of empty space

'Till at the next branch

The second to place

Back to the first

And repeat this again

Like the spokes of a wheel

A shape to retain

The spider continues

To spin more and more

Checking that each

Is safe and secure

Then switch the direction

Go round the outside

When this is complete

Retire and hide

Out of sight

A trap is set

To catch her prey

In a silken net

The End
