Daddy's Gone...

If only we were there, when you had to go

To see your face downtrodden

showing pink against the snow.

If only we had got to hold you, in our small embracing arms

It would have soothed you and brought you back to calm.

Your muffled tones confused us;

Just like they always did.

We were not yet of an understanding

We were just two little kids...

The End
